writing on architecture and landscape

—  About me

—  About

I am a historian and critic of architecture, landscape, and the built environment.

In addition to my independent research and writing, I work with creative professionals to help them present their work in clear and compelling terms. I collaborate and consult with architects, artists, curators, and developers to enrich the design process and communicate effectively. Based in New York City, I manage a small team of skilled freelancers to handle larger projects. We provide and assist with new project proposals, precedent research, blog posts, finished project narratives, book writing, and other design-adjacent tasks.

Check out a sampling of my magazine and book publications on architecture and landscape architecture. I earned a PhD in Architecture (history and theory) at the University of Pennsylvania School of Design. My research and writing bridges the academic and professional worlds.
